We are grateful to Tesco Maryhill Community Maryhill Tesco Extra, Maryhill Road (opposite McDonalds) for holding a Local collection for our foodbank on the 18-19th October. We will be at this store only for these 2 days, and will give us an opportunity to say thank you to those that give to us so generously.
As part of the Trussell Trust Foodbank Network, we recieve a 20% top up on all donations that we recieve via Tesco Maryhill Extra, this 2 day collection is no exception, roughly speaking this comes to a 33p donation from Tesco for every kilo donated (bag of sugar)
Due to recent demand for the foodbank and a drop in donations (usual for this time of year) our stock levels are very low and we neded your help, so that we can continue to help people in crisis.
Our stock levels are so low just now we need everything from food & drink to toiletries and cleaning products. our most up todate shopping list is available at www.glasgownw.foodbank.org.uk/give-help/donate-food
We cannot accept fresh produce (perishables, chilled or frozen) and cannot give out food that has already been opened.
At this time we do not need Beans or Pasta.
We are looking for volunteers to help us with this collection from 10am -5pm on both the Tuesday & Wednesday.
