COVID-19 update

19th March 2020

Due to Covid-19 we are doing what we can to ensure that those that need food bank help can still access our service, we are remain a referral based food bank, people needing help from us will need a referral – please note that while many most organisations doors are closed for face to face help, most of our referral agencies are contactable by phone or email and can still refer people to the food bank.

Anyone that is shielding due to age/health and are needing assistance to get shopping, please contact the councils shielding hotline in the first instance on 0141 276 1185.

Our commitment to help people is still here and we are doing what we can to ensure we can still reach those that need our help, we are setting set up home deliveries with British Gas for those that are in financial crisis and do not have food.

At present:

Gairbraid food bank centre is closed for the duration of the pandemic.

Blawarthill remains open but we are at the other end of the building to where we are normally, we are temporarily located in the Church halls on Kinstone Avenue.

Ruchill Kelvinside remains open.

To help protect our volunteers, donors and those that we are helping, only volunteers/staff will be allowed into our building.

We would like to thank everyone that is supporting us at this difficult time, and to those that are needing our help, we will do our best to help you.
