We’re working from our temporary warehouse

4th November 2020

The need for physical distancing meant that we had to move the operation of Glasgow NW Foodbank from our warehouse to the much larger church hall at Blawarthill.  Volunteers quickly adapted to the new patterns.  Sadly we had to stop offering tea and toasties to callers.

Clients are also having to wait outside until their parcels are ready, which is far from ideal, especially as winter draws on.  We are trying to minimise the waiting time by preparing parcels in advance.  We’d like to say a word of appreciation to our volunteers for continuing to come in during the pandemic, especially as we work with interim managers appointed by the Trustees while we await the appointment of a new Project manager.
